We desire to reach out and share the HOPE of Jesus Christ with people in our own families as well as in our neighborhoods, communities, and around the world. Here are some ways we reach out beyond the walls of our church.
benevolence giving
Our church designates a portion of our budget each year to help those in need around us. As people in the neighborhood come into the church and ask for assistance for food, shelter, paying bills, and more, this benevolence fund allows us the opportunity to help with immediate needs. Our church blesses many families and individuals yearly with this fund.
Generous Church giving
Each month, a portion of our church offerings are given to organizations in our community or further out from us to help them with their mission. We have given to help private schools, missionaries, parachurch organizations, other churches with a severe need, special needs ministries, and more.
guyana missions teams
We partner with Rev. Angie Hemric in Guyana to help bring HOPE to that area of the world. We have struggled to get back into the country since the outbreak of Covid years ago. We are making plans to send a group back to Guyana in the Fall of 2026!
PARTNERSHIP WITH KMS6
We partner with one of our local schools to help them with many different things. We have folks who make home-baked goodies to take around to the teachers and staff every other Friday as a special treat. We have fed parents, students, and staff hotdogs for dinner during a Parent Data night. We help with Teacher Appreciation Week, School Dances, Christmas Wish Lists, Book Fairs, and much more. We like for our schools to know we're thinking about them.
Kaylene's clothing closet
We have a Clothing Closet open to the community weekly where families can come and get clothes and other items they may need for free. Their hours are Tuesdays from noon until 2:00pm.
Sweet Street Trunk-or-treat
We join hands with other churches and businesses in the Kannapolis Area to provide a safe and fun atmosphere where families can trick-or-treat on Halloween night. Outside the Lines Ministries started this event years ago. They organize and plan the event each year and we've loved being a part of this.
